Education A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (external link), Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (external link), Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (external link), or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (external link) at the time the degree was obtained. Degree from Foreign Nursing School:
Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (external link) is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools. Licensure For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (external link). In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Exemption:
You are exempt from the basic requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0610 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 7, 2017 or before. You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Experience:
To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one or more years of professional nursing experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as duties such as:
performing specialized or advanced nursing procedures to provide nursing care to ante-partum, intra-partum, postpartum and neonatal patients, performing emergency resuscitative measures utilizing delicate machinery and life-saving equipment (fetal monitors, neonatal monitors, and radiant warmers), performing maternal-fetal assessments to select appropriate monitoring techniques, performing a wide variety of maternal-infant nursing care procedures, recognizing pertinent signs. Specialized experience is defined as 1 year at the next lower grade level (GS-11).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
