The Help Desk Specialist will provide support for Enviva's end users. This position will identify, research, and resolve technical problems that may be communicated via telephone, email, and in person. The Help Desk Specialist will
report to the Director of Information Technology.
Responsible for the expedited resolution of issues submitted to the help desk.
Responsible for supporting our laptop and desktop hardware, printers, telephones, and mobile devices.
Responsible for providing application support to our users, including resolving issues within Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and other corporate business applications.
Responsible for assisting with Sarbanes Oxley audits, and assisting the Director of Information Technology with enforcing and implementing Enviva's IT policies, procedures, and security measures.
Analyze technical and business needs and recommend solutions.
Maintain positive relationships with our end users and our vendors.
Maintain current working knowledge in the area of systems and hardware.
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems preferred.

years of IT experience with 3
years experience as a lead Help Desk Specialist.
Must have extensive Microsoft Office troubleshooting experience, with emphasis on Excel and Outlook.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff.
Knowledge and experience with laptop, desktop, and networking hardware.
Significant track record of expeditious issue resolution.
Strong analytical abilities, organized with attention to detail.
Motivated self-starter.
Experience supporting Apple products including Mac, iPhones, and iPads preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS :
While performing duties of this job, the employee is predominately functioning in a sedentary light office position with high frequency of telephone communication, keyboarding, and computer. Position requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate technical issues / resolution. Must be able to get under desks frequently, and lift computers and monitors (up to 50 lbs) frequently.
