MSC is currently searching for a Front-end Developer (CSS/HTML) to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This opportunity is permanent, full-time, and it is on site in Bethesda/Rockville, MD.
Duties and
Responsibilities: Help maintain the CSS library as well as the CSS portion of the JavaScript library Mock up components or full pages, using flawless HTML and CSS. Work with other internal groups as a CSS/HTML expert Produce XSLTs that will output HTML (XSLT training can be provided if needed)Position Requirements: Must have a strong knowledge of semantic XHTML. Must have a strong demonstrated understanding of CSS techniques including page layout, cross-browser development, and best practices. Must have a firm understanding of Object-Oriented inheritance for code reuse. Must be intelligent, self-motivated, a quick learner, technical, and have a curious mind. BS in Computer Science or scientific field (engineering, physics), or equivalent experience.Desired skills: JavaScript Accessibility Usability Visual design HTML5 markup and APIs Information architecture
