Architect V THE COMPANY The Common Securitization Platform (CSP) is being created for open use by the secondary housing finance market in the United States. It is being created by a joint venture formed between Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Common Securitization Solutions, LLC, that will be independently located and operated, and managed by a dedicated board and leadership team. This position will report to CSS senior management, and employment status will remain at Fannie Mae until such time as the JV infrastructure is fully established. Fannie Mae exists to expand affordable housing and bring global capital to local communities in order to serve the U.S. housing market. Today, our focus is on preventing foreclosures, making mortgages and rental housing as affordable as possible, and supporting the housing recovery. We are rapidly building and realigning our company to better serve the market as we support the Administration's Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan. JOB INFORMATION Plan and design methods for the optimization and integration of various forms of technology systems or policies and high level principals. Apply varied engineering and design theories to produce robust, integrated functioning of various systems, technology interfaces, and/or overarching information policies and high level principles. Assess functioning of overall technology and communications systems and end-to-end processes and to look for ways to upgrade and optimize systems and processes in the future. Align strategic goals and objectives with key business and IT initiatives. Work to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, industry standard techniques and best practices. May participate in projects to upgrade or install workstations, networks, or software, or to assess and optimize overall functioning of technology, data and processes. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS Serve as lead or technical expert to define and maintain the architectural frameworks/patterns, processes, standards and guidelines related to systems, business or data architecture. Align approach with broader architecture vision. Partner with business stewards to define performance metrics for target architecture(s); Promote and educate stakeholders on the use and value of optimized architecture(s) Provide technical and architectural subject matter expertise to the various development teams including communicating architectural decisions and mentoring other technical staff around the various development technologies and decisions. Identify core common data shared across the enterprise and participate in enterprise wide efforts to reach common understanding of those data. May serve as lead, technical expert or project manager to team(s) concerned with development, networking and/or project management to coordinate changes and support enterprise technology initiatives. Conduct studies of new technologies to provide more efficient and cost effective architecture solutions Oversee multiple projects in order to preserve the architectural vision and protect stakeholder interests as well as to meet operational and financial reporting requirements Confer with business units and application development staff to understand both the business and technical requirements and to define architectural constraints Create performance metrics and traceability maps to determine the effectiveness of architecture solutions and facilitate governance. Keep abreast of relevant architecture best practices. May review work of other team members and mentor junior architects. EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 8 years of related experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS Demonstrated expertise in financial industry, information architecture and visual design, bringing concepts to life Experience reviewing requirements to create a solution design based on target state technology blueprint Significant hands on, combined, relevant hands on experience with Java, Web

, XML and Tibco Experience with tcServer, Spring, Messaging, Data/Object Caching, Liferay, Alfresco, Business Rules, IBM Lombardi, iLog, vFabric, Eclipse, STS, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, Oracle, SQL Server preferred Stay up to date with technology changes to recommend updates to target state technology blueprint as needed for economic efficiencies in building and maintaining long-term technology solutions Governance experience (working closely with the solution delivery teams to ensure adherence to the design) Ability to develop high-level technical design, patterns as well as any user experience designs and wireframes, working collaboratively with other teams to drive consensus as needed Experience with design reviews to ensure the final solution presented to the Initiative Owner has been verified by all stakeholders Experience with resolving design/architecture related performance issues.
