Responsible for modeling and analyzing the resistance of shipboard equipment to dynamic loadings from shock including Underwater Explosion testingSuccessful candidate will develop innovative analytical and testing methods for assessing resistance of shipboard equipment to shock, utilize specialized scientific and engineering tools and software provided by the Governmentreview and evaluate shock test reports and analyses, and review and comment on shock design deliverables such as performance specifications, drawings, and system diagramsEfforts may include shock test planning and operational support, sensor and instrumentation selection, integration and installation for full scale shock testing, data acquisition system design and development for real-time shock data collection and analysis, and development of new sensors and techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of dynamic response measurementQualifications Education and
Experience:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering10
years of experienceExperience in marine structures.o Experience in structural response to dynamic loadingExperience with Marine Structures preferred.
