Job Description:
The Deeds/Settlement Processor must possess strong computer skills, attention to detail, independent organizational skills and be task oriented.
Training is available for new candidates to the industry or cross training in new departments.
Essentials
Responsibilities:
Continuous communication with all interested parties Monitoring files for receipt of documents.
Obtaining payoff statements and lien certificates.
Preparing deeds for recording.
Ordering and monitoring for payoff statements.
Obtaining COA/HOA information.
Ordering, receiving title abstracts as well as assisting with title clearance Sending status updates to all parties.
Manual and e-recording of documents throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required; College Degree preferred.
At least Two Years of Deeds experience at a title company or law firm.
Experience with Simplifile.
Must be organized, detailed oriented and be able to set priorities, multi-task, work independently, and take responsibility for results.
Superior attention to detail required.
Strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-pressure environment.
Ability to read and understand legal documents.
Must have basic computer proficiency, MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Additional information Our office hours are 9-5:
30 M-F, all candidates must be able to work these hours.
This position is onsite in Bethesda (not remote).
