Our team of 24 includes Visa Coordinators who work in a supporting role for all teams.
The Visa Coordinator position is perfect for entry level candidates seeking practical experience in International Student & Scholar Services.

Visa Coordinator duties typically include:
Supporting a team of Immigration Specialists by performing a variety of administrative tasks like data entry, scanning, filing, and communicating with foreign nationals and NIH staff.
Presenting established training sessions and orientations (e.
g.
J-1 Orientation, H-1B Orientation, etc.
) Preparing forms and documents required for certain immigration benefits (e.
g.
Forms I-129, I-140, I-539, etc.
) Participation in office-wide committees and activities related to our services As entry level positions, Visa Coordinators receive extensive training and mentorship from DIS staff.
Many of our former visa coordinators go on to enter the field of International Education as professionals.
Note:
The Visa Coordinator position is not a federal position.
DIS is not a remote office and does not offer fully-remote positions; regular telework and other workplace flexibilities are considered.
