As we continue to grow, we are seeking to hire an exceptionally bright, multitasking, and self-motivated individual to become our next Employee Relations Assistant.
He or she will be responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee/labor relations and human resource compliance for the National Capital Division.
This position is based in Bethesda, MD, and supports company operations in different states.

Responsibilities:
Attends, participates, and or conducts employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and internal investigations.
Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
Collaborates in union-related matters and aids in grievance resolution.
Provides support for employee leave under both the federal and state Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), from the employee's initial notice of need for leave until return to work.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree (preferred course of study:
Sociology, Human Resources, Communications).
One to two years of human resources experience in employee relations and or related human resources field.
Must have experience dealing with sensitive information and can maintain confidentiality.
Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; prioritize and complete tasks while working under a deadline in a fast-paced environment.
Must be flexible as this position will require you to work some nights and weekends to meet with employees or hold meetings.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Must have good organizational skills and must be able to multitask.
Must have excellent customer service skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
