Duties:
Provide exceptional and LOVING care for pets while their owners are away Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding feeding, medication, exercise, and any other special needs Ensure the safety and well-being of pets at all times Engage in playtime and provide companionship for pets Clean up after pets, including litter box cleaning, waste removal, and general tidying of pet areas Monitor and report any changes in behavior or health to pet owners Maintain a clean and organized environment for pets Skills:
Experience in pet care, such as working as a veterinary assistant, equine handler, kennel attendant, or pet groomer.
Volunteer experience or caring for the pets of friends and neighbors also qualifies.
Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners and address their concerns or questions Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently Knowledge of basic animal behavior and training techniques is a plus Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting or physically demanding tasks related to pet care Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate administration of medication or following specific instructions from pet owners Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations The ideal candidate is someone who wants to work this and future holidays, on a recurring basis.
Our returning holiday and seasonal staff are a key part of our team and we frequently have staff return to work holidays over many years.
