The Classified Inventory Control Tech shall manage the processing of outgoing classified metered mail (up to Secret), incoming metered mail, manifest electronic shipments, completion of all required OPNAV forms for document control and report of violations, shelving an inventory of material received by the CIC, and other carrier services on the NSWCCD West Bethesda and Olney campuses and to/from other points in the National Capitol Region, as required.
Responsibilities Utilize the NSWCCD BITS to account for the receipt, transfer, inventory, and destruction of classified material.
Verify that authorized users have the appropriate level of security clearance on their courier card for the material requested.
Perform or assist in destruction and transmittal services to authorized users.
Conduct an annual inventory of CIC material; and assist with the annual base-wide inventory and control of the SF 700s maintained by Security utilizing and updating all through BITS.
Complete the inventory and the inventory shall be verified in BITS using the Inventory Sight Report.
Conduct a check of all material for compliance with applicable regulations/instructions, based on the classification level of the material, prior to processing.
Perform customer service desk duties from 0730-1600 hrs.
to include:
Update badging and alarm system access lists, import alarm system encoding on the customer Common Access Cards (CAC), reset CAC pins, and create and issue Carderock Site Badges.
Issuing DD 2501 courier cards, answering the customer support line, and directing calls to the correct Security Specialist.
Creation and maintenance of a customer log report, submitted weekly (CDRL 0001) to the Government.
Perform controlled inventory services for classified/controlled material up to Secret for administrative material entering and leaving NSWCCD (25-30 pieces per week, on average).
The Contractor shall maintain transmittal logs and VCARDS for the prior 2 years.
Request a DD1149 for all FedEx shipment needs for Code 105.
The Contractor shall coordinate all other shipping needs for Code 105 using the proper US Postal Service requirements.
The Contractor shall provide a log of all customers on a monthly basis (CDRL 0002).
Complete annual company and customer-required training, as required.
Complete timesheets daily in an online system according to company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of related work experience in a secured facility Must be a U.
S.
citizen Interim secret clearance is required to start.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have the ability to maintain a Secret clearance for the lifecycle of the project.
Must be skilled in mailroom operations.
Working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel spreadsheets.
Knowledge of information/physical security.
Ability to build surveys, and perform inspections.
Ability to handle classified material and knowledge of document control.
Must have strong customer service skills.
Must have strong English written and verbal communication skills.
Possess strong critical thinking skills.
Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
Ability to multi-task in a high-performance-based environment.
Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff, government personnel, and management.
Ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences as requested.
