We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager.
Position Description:
This position is located in the Office of the Scientific Director (OSD) of the Vaccine Research Center (VRC), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
Under this Task Order, the Contractor(s) shall provide services in support of the overall functions of the Office of the Scientific Director, 40 Convent Drive, Bethesda, MD 20892.
Minimum Education Bachelor's Specific Qualifications o Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Four (4) years of specialized experience plus a High School diploma is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
o Minimum of six years of experience in a related field is required.
Technical Requirements o Responsible for all aspects of VRC Facilities-related projects, including defining the project scope, expected timeline, budget tracking, monitoring, and reporting all phases, and determining what group(s) within NIH/NIAID will complete the work.
o Under the oversite of the Federal Task Leader, develop and maintain the annual budget for the VRC Facilities Team for VRC buildings.
o Gather information required to submit project requests, including scheduling, planning, and leading project meetings, and following up on action items.
o Communicate with assigned team members or POs weekly to ensure projects are on track.
o Record project communications and updates using electronic tracking sheets and document repositories.
o Evaluate and submit requests to Procurement Team for goods and services to determine which best meets the needs of the end users.
o Serve as project lead for design and procurement of specialty $15M cyro-EM suite.
o Provide expert acquisitions advice and assistance to the Facilities Team and VRC leadership.
o Conduct market research on equipment and/or services needed for projects.
o Prepare equipment and service order documents for submission to Procurement Department.
o Review and update monthly maintenance agreements.
o Lead initiatives to streamline records management and building inventory processes.
o Troubleshoot anomalies on invoices.
o Edit and format procurement documents, correspondence, and memos.
o Support, plan, and execute project moves and staff relocations.
o Maintain constant and effective communication, both written and orally, with stakeholders.
o Review floor plans to ensure they meet end-user requirements.
Travel Requirements o Travel may be required, at the discretion of the Task Leader.
o All Travel must be approved in writing by the Contracting Officer o All travel and training, if approved by the COR and the Contracting Officer, will be funded through a subsequent modification.
Other Requirements This requirement is for a Full Time Equivalent employee, consisting of 1920 hours (excluding Federal Holidays) o Work will be performed up to 40 hours per week during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
o However, work can run past business hours and flexibility will be needed, and the contractor will be responsible for scheduling.
o Telework may be authorized if approved by the Task Leader, COR, and the Contracting Officer.
WORK LOCATION NIH/NIAID/ VRC/OSD Bethesda, MD This position may require for work to be performed in the office 1-5 times a week if needed.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
