We are looking for a Recreation Specialist to join our team!
Responsibilities:
Provide recreation programs and activities for residents and patients in a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation skilled nursing sub-acute care setting.
Perform routine medical and recreational services such as bathing, grooming, feeding, medication administration, etc.
Provide a safe environment for residents and patients.
Assist residents with personal activities such as walking, standing, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, etc.
Assist residents with mobility by providing assistance with transfers from one area of the facility to another.
Provide emotional support by following instructions and standards of practice.
This includes handling grievances and complaints.
Experience:
Previous experience in a healthcare environment or a related position such as EMT or LPN preferred.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a healthcare environment.
Strong communication skills.
Communicate with residents' family members, medical staff, other staff, and supervisors.
Communicate any concerns or changes in resident's condition to the scheduler or management.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
