Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Senior Director, FBP - Loyalty, the Manager will contribute to the management and execution of financial support to the Loyalty Program, the ongoing financial health and stability and the financial goals and objectives.
He / She will partner with the FBP-CO leadership team, Loyalty Marketing leaders, MI General Accounting (MIGA), Financial Reporting & Analysis, Tax, Legal, and other areas in the execution of financial and operational business strategies and plans to support the ongoing fiscal needs and responsibilities of the Loyalty Program.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS The Manager, FBP Loyalty will serve as a subject matter expert on financial/accounting matters related to the Loyalty Programs.
He/she will consult with stakeholders to develop and communicate financial analysis for use by the FBP CO Loyalty team and will support the Programs financial objectives.
Specifically, the Manager will:
Serve as a subject matter expert on financial matters related to Loyalty Marketing Expenses.
He / She will have a strong working knowledge of the program infrastructure and will be able to analyze the financial implications of proposed program changes.
The Manager will provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required by CO-FBP leadership, or other key stakeholders in response to requests to evaluate inquiries or proposed program enhancements.
Provide financial leadership to assigned Loyalty Marketing leaders; review analysis and forecasts, variances to budget, actual spend, and other issues that impact various funding sources.
Resolve discrepancies; develop and implement actionable recommendations and responses to address identified business challenges and opportunities.
Manage financial aspects of the Loyalty Program Expenses.
Develop and implement financial tools upon which greater transparency and reliability into forecasting and reporting Loyalty Marketing expenses can be achieved.
Partner with the Director, Loyalty FBP and the Sr Director, Loyalty FBP for maintenance and ongoing development of Loyalty financial models, consult on how program policies are designed to align overall program costs and benefits, assist in meeting the objectives of Loyalty, Marriott International, and our partners.
Partner with the Loyalty Marketing staff and team to ensure accuracy of invoice processing, accounting, and recording.
Implement financial controls in accordance with accounting policies and procedures to safeguard accounts payables for Loyalty Marketing team.
Develop and maintain reporting and control systems that ensure 1) Marriott International financials accurately reflect the Loyalty Programs' funding/costs and 2) forecasts of projected funding/costs are reasonable.
Support the Senior Director, Loyalty FBP in communicating and tracking Supplemental Budget Requests Partner with the Director, Loyalty FBP to manage the annual Program Expense budget process for the Loyalty Program.
Liaison with the Marketing team to coordinate, validate and plan for the costs of the Program.
Act as a Team Leader to identify process improvements along with risks and opportunities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Loyalty Marketing business contacts to provide guidance and/or consultation in the development and implementation of strategies to improve financial and operational performance.
Partner with the business and MIGA teams to develop and operationalize the appropriate financial controls and funding/cost monitoring.
Develop tools to track current Loyalty Marketing spend while also cultivating relationships to be able to update forecasts accordingly.

CANDIDATE PROFILE Experience 5
years of experience in finance and accounting processes Experience in data analysis and financial modeling History of consistently delivering business results Lodging/hospitality industry experience preferred but not required Education or Certification Baccalaureate degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required.
CPA or MBA preferred but not required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Knowledge in GAAP, as well as accounting and finance processes and reporting systems.
Exhibits strong functional leadership and finance knowledge; able to leverage this strength to influence business team strategies and decisions.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; ability to take large volumes of complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.

Location This position will be based either in our HQ in Bethesda, MD or Stamford, CT for a flexible hybrid work schedule.
