Scientific Portfolio Data Analyst with Security Clearance
Job Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Marathon is seeking an experienced data analyst with an understanding of the NIH extramural research portfolio that can support a growing scientific portfolio analysis and evaluation program at the NHLBIThe selected individual will have a strong background in quantitative analysis methods that support data-driven decision making, and be familiar with internal NIH processes, programs, and data systemsThe ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting fast-moving and wide-ranging data science and analysis-oriented projects and initiatives at NIHThe candidate should have a strong ability to communicate findings and work independently in conducting quantitative analyses
Qualifications:
o Strong quantitative data analysis skills.
o Previous experience with internal NIH systems (QVR, IMPACII, IRDB, iTools, iSearch, etc.
).
o Experience with NIH, FDA, HHS or federal healthcare organization & scientific leadership and staff.
o Demonstrated experience writing custom code to analyze large data sets (e.
gusing R, Python, SAS, SQL, Oracle, Tableau etc.
).
o Proven ability to independently conduct large scale data analyses (1000 samples).
o 5 years applicable work experience.
o Work examples of a data analysis product and writing skills.
