Family Law Attorney

We are Hostetter Strent, LLCA dynamic family law boutique located in Bethesda, MD, and we're looking to add a full-time attorney to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who has excellent writing, interpersonal and trial skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience resolving cases through negotiation, mediation, and litigation.
Good judgment and the ability to think creatively to meet the needs of our clients is a must.
Attorney must be a member or eligible for membership in the Maryland and DC bars.
Essential FunctionsoDrafting correspondence, pleadings and other court documents, agreements, and memorandum.
oCommunicating effectively with the team, clients, opposing counsel and court.
oCommunicating with partners on case status and deadlines and assuring compliance.
oPreparing for trial, mediation, meetings and other scheduled work.
oMaintaining client relationships by communicating often; negotiating with opposing counsel on clients' behalf; representing clients at trial, mediation, and meetings.
oAttending continuing education and bar association events and meetings to further your own and the firm's practice.
Required Skills & AbilitiesoExperienced - you understand legal language and principles, the court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.
oProductive - you have excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to submit high-quality work to meet a deadline.
oService-oriented - excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, possess the ability to have empathy and patience towards clients and their situations.
oPerfectionist - you pay attention to detail and love to produce quality work.
oArticulate - you possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
oMotivated - you can function well in a high-paced, and at times, stressful environment.
oAnalytical - you can take in substantial amounts of information and digest.
oTrustworthy - maintain confidentiality, and exercise discretion and good judgment.
oProficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite and related computer programs, such as Zoom and Clio.
Education & ExperienceoMember, or eligible for membership in the Maryland and District of Columbia Bar.
o1-3 years' experience preferred in family law or other relevant litigation.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
