Summary:
As an Assistant Vice President and Senior Health and Group Benefits Consultant you will be responsible for developing new business, leading and managing large health and group benefits client engagements and serving as strategic advisor to clients who range in size from 50-200 employees. You will be expected to contribute your thought leadership to the overall development of our growing Health and Group Benefits practice.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Primary accountability for growing Health and Group Benefits revenueCross-sell new lines of business and services to current clients; maximize the penetration of accountsWork with Producers and Senior Management to identify, develop and close new clients of the companyLead client relationships from a Health and Group Benefits perspective with support of an Executive SponsorLead and manage multiple large Health and Group Benefits consulting client engagementsEstablish a trusted advisor role with clients and provide consistent, superior relationship managementIdentify opportunities to cross sell new lines of business and services to current clientsBuild and manage a team that works effectively togetherEnsure you are maintaining team progress against established budget, timeline and quality standardsFinalize and present quality deliverables to clientsServe as your client's Senior Health and Group Benefits strategist on all projects, ensuring that health and welfare strategy fits within their overall benefits strategyPerform final review of client deliverablesContribute to the development of new Health and Group Benefits tools and approachesDemonstrate extensive leadership ability by mentoring other consultantsBuild relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teamsKnowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
8-10
years' experience and success in the design/management of large group health and welfare plans gained in a consulting or brokerage environment; prior experience in underwriting or in an actuarial function gained in a carrier environment is helpful but not requiredProven ability to generate revenueTrack record of success in managing client relationshipsExperience in managing multiple people and projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budgetProven ability to recognize and diagnose issues, work in teams, and leverage the resources of other related shared services/resources to address client challengesAn executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skillsSuperior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organizationInterest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in health and welfare plan strategy and contributing to the development of new tools and approachesEducation and/or
Experience:
BA/BS preferredTypically more than 8 years industry and product line experience.8
years of health and welfare consulting experience required.Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
HR Management, HR Compensation & BenefitsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
