Director, Global Search Engine Optimization
.
Responsibilities include: The Director, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) programs for Marriott.com and seven fully in-language Global sites (Germany, Latin America, China, France, UK, Australia, Japan). In addition, this person will be responsible for providing SEO strategy and implementation support for 6
localized sites and multiple Brand and product sites. The Search Engine Optimization program goal is to drive online bookings and awareness by expanding and optimizing Marriott's organic search listings against a list of strategic keywords.
CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
REQUIRED:
Minimum 10 years of work experience, including 5
years in digital marketing required ideally in Internet sales/ eCommerce/ online marketing in positions that have directly impacted increased online revenues.
Managing and directing interactive agencies. Past agency experiences a plus but not required.
Experience managing large national or international accounts.
Five (5) or more years of managerial experience, supervising and mentoring staff
Deep knowledge of online measurement, tracking methods, and analysis.
Demonstrated ability to take complex projects and efforts from conception to successful execution.
Experience working with associates, vendors and customers in remote locations and international markets (multiple time zones).
Must have a global perspective. International work experience & multiple language skills preferred.
International Travel required (minimum 2 trips a year).
Experience establishing and managing large budgets.
Hands-on skills and experience in eCommerce marketing, specifically Search Engine Optimization strategy and tactics.
Proven ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams in support of specific business priorities
Demonstrates self confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
Effective written and oral communications skills. Sensitivity to global communication needs. Foreign language skills a plus.
Ability to manage multiple international agencies/vendors.
Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy Internet speed-to-market requirements.
Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
Team player that works well with counterparts from various functions/departments and has the ability to influence the work of counterparts without direct reporting accountability.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
College degree in marketing, international business or related field.
MBA and/or previous search engine marketing experience preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
