is currently hiring a
Senior Tax Accountant.
Responsibilities include: As a member of the Global Tax Accounting team, the Senior Tax Accountant will help ensure the efficient and accurate completion of Marriott's global tax provision and SEC disclosures for income taxes under the guidance of FASB Topic ASC 740 (previously FAS 109). She/he will help prepare and maintain current and deferred tax schedules, FIN 48 analysis, footnote disclosures, and return to provision reconciliations.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
Prepare analyses, schedules, reconciliations and disclosures for the financial reporting of income taxes in accordance with FASB ASC 740.
Deferred tax schedules, return to provision reconciliations, and FIN 48 analysis.
Net operating loss carryover schedules to support deferred tax balances.
Current and deferred tax accounts on general ledger.
Reconciliations of current tax payable/receivable accounts.
Help to ensure the company is in compliance with all tax accounting controls and documentation requirements for SOX.
Assist with deliverables and correspondence with external financial auditors.
Assist with research of issues and monitor changes in tax law.
Support efforts to re-engineer business processes and improve reporting functions performed by the tax accounting team.
Contributes to achievement of team objectives and outcomes.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years income tax experience.
Working knowledge of ASC 740 (SFAS109, APB23, FIN18, FIN48) and SOX404.
Good qualitative and quantitative analytical skills; ability to take information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
Solid interpersonal skills. Ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Strong communications (verbal and written), organization and presentation skills.
Exceptional organizational skills. Effective in prioritizing work and following through on commitments.
Able to develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external customers. Collaborative approach with market teams and business partners.
Actively pursues learning and self-development to enhance personal and professional growth; shares knowledge and expertise with others.
High degree of initiative and ability to work effectively in teams or independently.
Supports change within the organization.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
Baccalaureate degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline required
Masters in Tax and/or CPA a plus
LOCATION
This position will be based at MI Corporate Headquarters.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
