The Senior Manager of Digital Experiments leads and coordinates efforts to quantify and improve customer engagement, bookings, and revenue across Marriott digital touch points. This role is responsible for a global-distributed team that partners with Marriott stakeholders to identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to wield Conversion Rate Optimization (a.k.a. Experiments) efforts against the Marriott Digital Search Product, the Marriott Digital Reservations Product and digital touch points and experiences across Asia Pacific (AP).
Senior Manager of Digital Experiments effects change at operational, tactical and strategic levels across the Marriott Digital organization; core responsibilities include:
1. Lead a team of 5
Marriott Associates and partners to: (1) quantify and (2) optimize digital experiences across AP localized websites, the Marriott Digital Search Product and the Marriott Digital Reservations Product including but not limited to room night goals, customer acquisition, and engagement to maximize lifetime value of current and next generation of travelers
2. Establish subject matter expertise with regard to the historical performance of and opportunities to improve the Marriott Digital Search Product, the Marriott Digital Reservations Product and AP website domains and digital touch points.
3. Partner with Product Research counterpart(s) to uncover and activate (via Experiments) the global traveller's needs via primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative research
4. Manage communications across Internet Customer Care, Information Resources (IR) operations, and field eCommerce teams in support of ongoing Experiment activities.
5. Attract, mentor and guide direct reports and research associates in Experiments'; contribute to making Marriott a recognized leader in Enterprise Experimentation
eCommerce is the fastest growing sales channel Marriott International; Marriott.com generates over $10BB annually and accounts for 24% of Marriott International gross reservations. Digital Research is critical to this success by providing competitive intelligence, customer insights, and product input. Digital Experiments drives value across Marriott eCommerce/Digital by applying Experiments to discover the right experience for the right customer at the right time to capitalize on customer affinities, intent and online trends - this team is responsible for the discovery of more than $600MM (gross revenues) in user experience changes across Marriott.com and international websites.

Manage and reconcile Digital Experiments budgets for the Marriott Digital Search Product, the Marriott Digital Reservations Product, and AP activities to maximize team productivity
Train and evangelize Digital Experiment capabilities across Marriott Brand, Marketing, eCommerce, and IR teams
Build and leverage relationships with constituents and stakeholder across the Marriott organization.

Lead prioritization discussions and review(s) to ensure the right Experiments in the right place are delivered
Lead cross-functional teams comprised of Business Intelligence, Digital Experience Design, Acceptance Testing and IR Plan, Build and Run teams to execute Experiments
Moderate travel required 5%
Develop POV on the future of testing platforms
Develop education/training curriculum for new associates and business partners
Drive adoption and inclusion of DCR's needs and goals with key Marriott partners including M&A and IT
Autopsy of issues and resulting documentation changes
Automated research flow toolappropriate from vendor

Be detail oriented:
Pre-experiment, define test duration, target confidence level and interval
Translate business goals & objectives into Experiment ready constructs experiences
Build Experiment campaigns using Adobe Target including 1:1 Search & Promote and Recommendations
Edit and troubleshoot Adobe Target campaigns including application logic, HTML & JavaScript
Traffic, manage, and mitigate cross-Experiment and multi-release code interactions
Conduct post-Experiment segmentation & factor analyses of multivariate Experiments
CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
REQUIRED:
Successful candidates possess diverse knowledge and skillset with an advanced understanding of Experiment tactics and mechanics; ideally experienced in multiple areas: experience design, direct marketing, web development, market research, web analytics, data science, statistics, and/or behavioral economics/psychology
Four or more years of hands-on experimentation experience
Working knowledge of A/B and multivariate testing and design of experiments for websites improvement initiatives
Experience with the Adobe Online Marketing Suite (SiteCatalyst and Discover a plus) or other enterprise analytics
Hands-on experience using Adobe Target or other enterprise experimentation platforms (e.g. Monetate, SiteSpect, Optimizely, Google Analytics, etc.)
Experienced in developing or managing online user experiences
Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint power user (or equivalent)
Proficient in data structures, data warehousing and decision support systems
Basic understanding of front-end development technologies (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, etc.)
Self-motivated, excels under limited supervision
Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills - can interact with and influence creative and technical partners
PREFERRED:
Advanced understanding in one or more areas: digital design, front-end development, data analytics/science or behavioral economics/psychology
Eight or more years of relevant work experience
Certification/advanced knowledge with Adobe Target: Test&Target, Recommendations and Search & Promote
International digital marketing or product development experience
Experience implementing experimentation strategies across multiple platforms (e.g. web, mobile, email).
Experience building experiments without an experimentation platform or building an experimentation platform
Experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, DB2) and/or BI tools such as SAS, SPSS or Cognos. Tableau is a plus.
Experience with adaptive/responsive design
Examples of relevant work experience would be in the areas of web development or market research
Education:
Bachelor's degree required;
Graduate degree, e.g., MBA or related degree preferred
