Assistant Manager - Equity Financial Reporting & Analysis.
Responsibilities include: This position will report directly to the Senior Manager of Balance Sheet and Cashflow Forecasting and will work closely with the VP of Balance Sheet and Cashflow. This position will help to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the equity section of the Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements across a wide variety of financial reporting requirements, as well as, being primarily responsible for the Earnings per Share processes.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
Analyzing all equity activity to ensure the accuracy of Retained Earnings, APIC, and Treasury stock balances, in addition to preparing the associated rollforward schedules. This includes responsibility for recording dividend accruals and dividend payments, accrual of treasury stock repurchases, and calculation and recordation of the gain or loss on reissued treasury shares. This also includes making sure entries recorded by outside groups relative to treasury stock and retained earnings are accurate.
Complying with the company's internal policy regarding account reconciliations (MIP-66) by reconciling, verifying and certifying owned account balances.
Preparing account analyses and other summary schedules to support quarterly reporting and the external audit process.
Coordinate the preparation and review of quarterly reports to the Corporate Growth Committee and assist with the Internal Financial Forecast package which is used to prepare the quarterly presentation to the Board.
Managing any requests by Internal Audit to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, including maintaining and updating process documentation and participating in walkthroughs with internal and external auditors.
Entering and reviewing the equity cash flow information into the Access model which produces the final cash flow statement and the shares data in to Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
Assist in transitioning the cash flow forecast consolidation in to HFM.
Assist with the consolidation of actual cash flow and balance sheet reports as needed.
Requirements:
BS/BA in Accounting, CPA preferred.

years of relevant and progressive accounting experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to develop alternatives and solutions.
Ability to plan effectively, work well under pressure, work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
High degree of initiative.
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Hyperion Reporting Suite preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
