Senior Director, Digital Merchandising.
Responsibilities include: Marriott.com is the largest consumer touch point for Marriott International, delivering $9.65B in bookings in 2013 while reaching three out of four guests. We are seeking a thought leader as well as practitioner to help accelerate onsite conversion (bookings per visitor) of this industry leading channel, across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
The Senior Director, Digital Merchandising leads a team and practice focused on growing Marriott.com (desktop/tablet/mobile) conversion and revenue per customer through 1) implementing a systemic/algorithmic approach to matching online consumer demand with the appropriate room supply on Marriott.com, 2) working in coordination with revenue management and pricing strategy to ensure maximum demand capture 3) implementing proven eCommerce and merchandising best practices (e.g. urgency drivers, strike through pricing, wisdom crowds, loss aversion etc.) to shape consumer onsite behavior, 4) launching promotions to support stimulate and capture demand and 5) identifying and growing new ancillary revenue opportunities including the growth of Marriott Media Network.
This role is accountable for developing and leading the Digital Merchandising strategy for Marriott.com and its global sites. Balancing web analytics, revenue management principles, customer research and internal business needs, he/she recommends strategies and builds internal buy-in toward new designs that enable and shape consumer behavior. This associate manages a team that includes direct reports and cross-functional teams and agencies in order to achieve his/her goals. The person in this role is expected to apply best of breed merchandising/retailing practices, blend art & science, have bias for action for the possible to achieve near term results while delivering on a long term vision.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
At least 8 years of experience, with 6-8 years in online space desired
College degree in Marketing, International Business, MBA or related field.
Previous eCommerce / Online retail experience required.
Strong preference for candidates with a mix of analytic capability and leadership experience in roles that require bringing divergent perspectives together toward a common purpose.
Strong preference for candidates with experience in A/B and multi-variate testing with deep understanding of best practices in user experience and drivers of conversion
Skills
Hands-on experience in direct to consumer marketing communications, ideally in the retail and/or eCommerce space.
Demonstrated ability in product lifecycle management
Proven skill in leading and working across multiple and distinct functional organizations (e.g., IT, International, Marketing) in support of specific business priorities

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
