Assistant Manager - Corporate Statutory Accounting (CPA, financial statement prep/review, public accounting).
Responsibilities include: This position will be part of a team responsible for the accurate internal and external financial reporting of Marriott's foreign subsidiaries within the Netherlands. The team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of legal subsidiary ledgers for the entities within The Netherlands and their branches in order to complete the entity audit process in a timely and efficient manner, facilitate timely statutory income tax reporting and facilitate timely board of managers reporting.
The responsibilities of this position include local GAAP financial statement preparation, coordination of entity audits and related schedule preparation and review and analysis of the activity within each of the Netherlands entities. The Assistant Manager works with independence, but within established guidelines, in order to produce and analyze financial information as well as legal contracts to support the accounting for subsidiaries. In addition, he/she will serve as a contact for entity questions/issues for stakeholders across the organization.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
Assist with and support the annual statutory audit process for entities in The Netherlands. Ensure that audits occur in a timely and efficient manner. Participate in the process to record audit adjustments to the general ledger as applicable.
Prepare foreign subsidiary financial statements and supporting schedules to support the financial statement reporting and audit processes.
Assist in the analysis and reconciliation of financial activity recorded to the general ledger in a timely manner to facilitate monthly and quarterly financial reporting for the entities.
Participate in the preparation of internal financial reporting deliverables related to the monthly and quarterly corporate financial close processes.
Understand and document significant transactions and processes related to the Netherlands entities.
Review financial activity on a routine basis for overall reasonableness and accuracy.
Experience
Minimum 3-4 years of progressive accounting experience to include financial statement preparation and account analysis, international accounting a plus.
Experience with financial statement audits preferred
Experience with accounting in a multi-currency environment under multiple bases of accounting preferred.
Experience with PeopleSoft general ledger system a plus
Education or Certification
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
CPA or MBA preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
