Accounting Senior Analyst - GL Systems Allocations.
Responsibilities include: As a member of the Financial Applications Business Support team the Senior Analyst, GL Allocations Business Support will contribute to the functional and technical support of GL Allocations. She/he will:
Support the ongoing maintenance of allocations;
Troubleshoot and help resolve moderate to complex processing issues impacting the business; and
Support continued development and refinement of the approach and standards for the use of allocations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Key Talents and Experience
Minimum 5 years financial applications management and/or financial accounting management experience.
Experience PeopleSoft MGL v9.1 (to include allocation development/maintenance) required.
Knowledge of generally accepted finance and accounting policies, principles and controls.
General knowledge of Marriott hotel and administrative accounting and reporting processes and systems.
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills; ability to take large volumes of complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
Operates with a collaborative mindset to ensure that key stakeholders are considered, builds relationships to leverage information and insights; communicates well with stakeholders; openly shares and does not withhold information.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to maintain effective relationships, both internally and externally with a broad group of stakeholders in order to foster trust.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative work environment.
Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing; listens to others and effectively comprehends information.
Responsive; able to integrate and balance priorities, work activities and resources for the benefit of multiple key stakeholders.

Education and Professional Certification
Baccalaureate degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related field required.
LOCATION
This position will be based at MI Corporate Headquarters.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
