Reporting to the Chief Architect, the Director, Enterprise Architecture works closely with IT senior leadership to establish governance processes and facilitate the definition of technology strategy, standards, and roadmaps. The Director will chair various governance processes to ensure the effective development, communication, maintenance and implementation of Marriott's Enterprise Architecture and work across the organization to ensure that the Enterprise Architecture organization is properly engaged and that architecture solutions are integrated across business units and consistent with defined Enterprise Architecture direction. The successful candidate will have a broad technology background with experience designing and delivering systems architecture strategy and solutions in large global companies.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 10 years' experience creating Architecture roadmaps and operational models that span the Technology, Application and Data layers for complex, high-available systems in J2EE, Mobile, COTS and/or Mainframe environments
Demonstrated competency applying architecture frameworks and development methods, including at least one of the following: TOGAF, DoDAF, Zachman, FEAF, Gartner
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certifications
Experience working in, or with, an Enterprise Architecture function in a large, global company
Experience leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives
Superior written and oral communication skills
Preferred
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering
Project Management Certification
ITIL Certification
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
