Responsibilities: Achieves sales and profit goals through sound management, creative sales promotions, and aggressive expense control. - Ensures compliance with established Navy Exchange policies and procedures. - Analyzes financial statements, reports, etc. Identifes business trends and evaluates operational performance. Identifies and maximizes areas of business opportunity. Sets goals and monitors progress towards sales and profit objectives. - Supervises associates engaged in barbering and/or beautician services. Fosters an attitude of teamwork, cooperation, and professionalism among shop staff. Schedules work and leave, evaluates/controls performance, etc. Recruits, interviews and hires associates. - Ensures a high level of associate readiness through the implementation of a comprehensive, ongoing skills training program. Ensures associates are skilled in latest hair styling and hair care service, techniques, and products to maximize services to a diverse clientele. Ensures associates are cross trained in areas outside of their individual specialty to the maximum extent feasible. - Monitors inventory levels to ensure in-stock position of merchandise, and maintains custody of supplies. Maintains records of equipment and supplies. - Ensures promotional programs and events are coordinated with appropriate departments and personnel. - Assists in developing operating budgets. Prepares and maintains operating records, reports, etc. - Accountable for cash receipts and control. Ensures sanitation, security, and safety standards are met. - Carries out policy of courtesy and customer service. Ensures 100% client satisfaction. - Conducts regular staff meetings focusing on retail and services sales and profit objectives and initiatives. - Works under the general supervision of a designated manager who outlines new or revised policies and procedures, etc. - Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have valid state license.
